Howdy Friends! And welcome to your exclusive community video!

I never realized just how dependent we are all on technology until my Starlink went dead.  It’s the reason this whole week started … and I do have to make an admission about that.  The video explains what happened and how I somehow managed to fix it, but it does raise an important issue that I cut from the video … how does one get stuff delivered when one doesn’t have a physical address?

This has happened with my credit card when some a**hole decided to steal my number a few months back.  The bank needed an address to send my replacement card and they wouldn’t just send it general delivery to some random post office.  In today’s case, I needed to purchase a very specific cable from Amazon and all of their “counters and lockers” in New Mexico were not available.  All except for one, which wasn’t on my route.  Which meant it suddenly was.

Anyway …

I had planned on this video being just a random collection of thoughts on the road (because apparently I was just too damn lazy to think of something else).  But then as I was heading for the pickup, I saw a sign on the highway that said “exit here for historic route 66”.  Wait … I was on 66?  And that’s when I decided to just stay on it (after the pickup, of course).  I don’t know how much of it is left here in New Mexico and in Texas, but I knew we we’re going to find out.

And sadly, I did.  I guess as they say, you can’t go home again.

Thanks for supporting the channel!
