This one was an absolute HOOT to make! And seriously, while it was kinda inevitable that play would happen before projects, I was surprised at several things.
I really had no idea I was going to Slab City. As I was driving towards the “painted mountain” I kept seeing this range miles away and wondering which part was it. And suddenly I saw where I was heading and realized … a painted mountain was literal. LOL!
I also had zero clue I was going to get to drive into a mine shaft. I didn’t even know they did mine tours. So when the owner told me he had more people than drivers … and would I help? … the YouTube Gods Of Opportunity sounded their trumpets and viola, a great segment was borne. LOL!
And I also didn’t really know how to deal with the puppy in Slab City. Yea, he was a monster. Pure muscle held back by a chain worthy of the Titanic. But he was so sweet. I was his complete puppy chew toy, and when I walked away from him to see what was inside he jumped up, bit into the back of my shirt, and I had 125 lbs of dog hanging off my back! But again, he just didn’t have a clue how big he was. I am 1000% a dog person, so I wasn’t afraid, but I can see where some folks would be. I hope I helped folks see that their reputation shouldn’t be taken at face value.
And yes, Nikki is indeed away for TWO weeks. After which many changes are a’foot. But that’s for later. Enjoy this weird romp!
