Howdy friends … we found our way back to the states and it’s seriously affordable (more on that in a sec). But it does come with asterisks.

The biggest is that we have to stay in Europe for two more months. Well, to be specific, “Eastern Europe”. We have to stay out of the Schengen Zone because we’ve already pretty much used up our allotted time there. So we’re planning on hanging around Albania and Turkey until …

We have to be in Barcelona Spain on October 30th to board the MSC Seaside!

It’s a Cross-Atlantic repositioning cruise. Twice a year, a lot of cruise lines move their ships between Europe and the Caribbean and the fares are very affordable. For the two of us, for an 18 night crossing, it’s $1500 US total.

Sounds expensive, I know. But look at it this way … if we were to fly back to Miami from Barcelona, that would cost us around a thousand bucks. So subtracting that from the cruise price, we will be living and eating for 18 days for only $500.

Here’ I’ll do the math for you … for $14 a day each, we get lodging and all the food we can stand. Along with access to entertainment, a fitness center, pools, and whatnot.

FOURTEEN DOLLARS A DAY! 🙂

Now personally, I’m not what you would call a “Cruiser”, and I’m sure I’ll be making a lot of fun at the stylish mid-80s decor of the ship. But for $14 a day … I can learn to live with it. LOL!

More later, but that’s the plan right now … such as it is. We have a couple of towns here in Albania still to visit, and then there’s this big blank space for six weeks that we need to fill. But that’s for another post. (As is whatever the ^#%$ we do after we get back to the states. 🙂
