PRO: I managed to send extortion money in time.
CON: It took me 17 hours to do it.
Yes campers, Venmo (and most American companies) seem to truly hate travelers. By putting up so many blockades in front of us, we have to pray things go perfectly because they simply will not have our backs should something go wrong. Like needing to log in to their site.
Are they lazy? (yes)
Are they stupid? (again, yes)
I took a walk through the Castillo de Alcalá de Guadaíra to clear my head and tell this tale. It was NOT supposed to be the next video, but when a major company puts you through hell (along with an ex-wife!) you step up and tell the story.
What was the next video supposed to be, you ask? I hint at it in the video. Here’s an early access blurb from the script:
The Day I ALMOST QUIT SPAIN
What’s the story? People make big life choices. I did and became a nomad. Bus Life. Slow Travel. And then one day, despite loving my life, a quiet pile of resentments and anger sat me down and made me wonder if just quitting and running back home was the best option.

Hook/Open
(getting a suitcase, getting ready to leave but obviously still undecided – this could easily all be a voice over)
-
I don’t know if I can take this anymore. This “Let’s try to live in Spain” thing.
-
For every one great thing here, I feel like I’m facing two bad ones that are desperately trying to drive me away.

3. I have no idea what I’m going to do …
So yea, everything is not always as it seems. LOL!
