So I’m working on the next video which is loosely titled “CULTURE SHOCK in SPAIN! (and how it can kill you)”. Yea, I know. Dramatic. LOL!
It’s to be about the differences one finds outside of their hometowns and why perhaps we humans react as we do when we find out how weird others can be. But while pondering the contents of this wonderous future video, I saw this on Instagram:

I know we don’t really drink Fanta in the states, so just substitute “soda/pop” and it’s the same message. (And yes, I fact checked this. LOL!)
Not seeing it? The little USA in the upper right of the image and the percentage of sugar in our soft drinks? Holy Moly Mother Of Dog! It’s no wonder we have to “celebrate body image” when we’re consuming so much stuff that’s slowly killing us.
Nikki had a Coke yesterday (apparently only 4.5% sugar) here in spain and we were in complete wonder at how different and better it tasted. It felt like the Cokes I had as a kid somehow. Twasn’t anywhere close to what we had last week in Arizona.
That bottle required a side of insulin. 🙁

And in other news … today is Father’s Day here in Spain. It’s also San Jose Day. Who was he, you ask? Joseph! You know, husband of Mary? Step-dad to Jesus? Spain is so deeply into saints that Father’s Day has to have a famous father, right? LOL!
I mean, you gotta admire a dude who raised a kid that his wife claimed was magically inserted into her with no adultry involved. Quality guy, this Jose! Happy Fathers Day dude! 🙂
And yes, I know those of you who believe are now praying for my soul. Or getting the pitchforks out of storage in preparation for the storming of the channel. LOL!)

BREAKING NEWS! METRO PCS SUCKS!
I put a little of this is the last video, but I need to explain more. (And how I solved it). I had an iPhone 12 Mini and wanted something a little more modern for my trip here to Spain. MetroPCS (hereafter referred to as the ***hole company) sold me an upgraded phone and assured me I could add an esim in-country.
I could not. The phone is locked and the ***hole company won’t unlock it for another year. So I kinda have a brick in my pocket while here in Spain.
I had a few options to resolve this dilemma, none of them really affordable, but I settled on buying a hotspot which uses a data sim card I also had to purchase. So now I have a little device I carry in my “murse” that offers LTE data service and that my brick-of-an-iphone can connect with while I’m out and about.
So yea, I managed to solve a problem here that a certain ***hole company wanted me to fly back to a store in the states to resolve. Not a perfect solution, but in reality it’s just another device I need to remember to recharge nightly.
Anyway. More tomorrow!
