Welcome back folks to another behind the scenes update!  We just got back yesterday from our “vacation within a vacation” up in Progreso Beach.  I also just finished the edit on the video as well and frankly?  I LOVE THIS ONE!  Yea, I know I’m not supposed to be that excited, but it’s a good’un.

We weren’t really sure what to expect, but the town is really nice.  And while the beach is kinda murky/sandy colored (and cold!), it was also relaxing as hell.  In fact, when one of the daughters comes to visit next week, we want to go back.  It’s just that fun.

Here’s a little “Fun Cultural Fact” for ya.  Every restaurant we’ve visited in Mexico (and also throughout Central America) has these miniature coat racks beside the tables.  They’re obviously for hanging purses and bags.  I thought that they had something to do with security or pickpocketing, but Nikki tells me it’s part of her Hispanic culture.  One NEVER puts a bag, purse, or any other thing on the floor.  It’s considered dirty.  So you hand them up.  Kinda cool, in my humble opinion.  

Our time here in Mexico is coming to an end soon.  In fact, the next one of these BTS posts is going to be from Miami.  And no, we’re not staying there.  We’re heading to Barcelona and Europe next.  And it was way cheaper to fly back there for a couple of days and launch across the pond.  I’m super-excited to be “going back home” to Spain and mu beloved Barcelona, and I can’t wait to take you along with me.
